It can be intimidating to enter a new worship space! Here's what you can expect at MPLC:
Entering the Building
You’ll probably enter through our main doors (opposite side of building from S. Green Bay Rd) into a large atrium (narthex). You'll walk straight ahead, up a slight incline, toward interior open doors. Looking left or right you'll see ramps that go up or down. Proceed up one of the ramps to enter the back of our worship space (sanctuary), where an usher is likely to greet you and offer you a worship bulletin. If you’re looking for our staffed nursery (Sundays), at the interior open doors go down the ramp to your right, then hang a left around the corner.
For the Littles
We welcome children at worship—wiggles and all! Activity bags for young kids are available to the right of the sanctuary doors before you reach the ramps. Our staffed nursery is open to kids who need it during Sunday worship services. Find it down the right ramp and around the corner to the left. You can see and hear the whole service from our designated "cry room" with a nearby changing table and sink. Access this glass-enclosed room through the swinging door to the right of the organ, then a hard right. Another changing table is available in the entryway bathroom on the left (mirrored cube) as you enter the building. The pastors offer a children’s sermon at both Sunday morning services.
Some churches offer homemade treats between services; we offer fresh, home-roasted coffees (and treats, too)! Join us at 9:30 AM Sundays in the Fellowship Hall (under the worship space…follow the ramps down) for a taste of better-than-fair-trade coffees roasted each week in micro-lots by one of our members. Check out this week’s "flavor profile" in the weekly announcements bulletin, and come have a "cuppa" with some new friends!
