Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church

God’s Work. Our Hands.

Purpose: God’s Work, Our Hands is the tag line of our denomination—the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  It appropriately captures what we as ELCA Lutherans strive to do in the world—God’s work with our hands!  So, to emphasize the theme even more, the ELCA started God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday to be observed each year.  This is meant to be a day of service where we go out of our churches and serve those in our community.

Volunteer Opportunities: On the third Sunday in September, there will be multiple service opportunities that will take place starting at 1 p.m., at locations in the Racine area.

Schedule/Location: Confirmed locations for September 16, 2019 are: Habitat ReStore on DeKoven Ave in Racine; Worldwide Hunger Relief – Meal Packing at MPLC; Clothing Ministry at the Hospitality Center at 7th & Main St. in Downtown Racine.

Contact: Call the church office for further information on how to get involved at 262-634-6704. Or see the sign up pillar in the church entrance.

If you ordered a t-shirt, it will be available for pick up in the church entryway, either the weekend of September 8 & 9, or the morning of September 16.
