Opportunities to listen to or contribute to music abound at MPLC:
Senior Choir
About fifty adults of all ages and voice come together to make music under director Eduardo Garcia-Novelli during the school year. Practicing on Wednesday evenings, the Senior Choir sings an anthem and leads the congregation in song for our 8:30 AM service. New singers are always welcome!
Bell Choir
The bells ring out once a month at our 8:30 AM service when the bell ringers offer their musical anthem. The bell choir under director Greg Schroeder practices on Tuesday evenings during the school year. New ringers who read music are invited to join!
Pipe Organ
MPLC’s pipe organ was built by John-Paul Buzard Organ Builders of Champaign , IL , and dedicated in October of 2006. The 40 rank instrument was carefully designed to fit our unique architectural and acoustic environment. From its quietest gentle flutes, to its grandest trumpet, the organ plays a wonderful role in leading our congregation in worship.
Special Music
MPLC is blessed with an abundance of talented members and friends who often share their gifts in worship. A brass ensemble enlivens worship on Easter morning and Christmas Eve, while student musicians from Carthage sometimes accompany the adult choir anthem.
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music."
Psalm 98:4 NIV
