We enthusiastically welcome new members to Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. If you
are searching for a church home, we encourage you to pray about your needs and seek
out a congregation that is the best fit for you. If that place is Mount Pleasant Lutheran,
and we hope it is, we would love to talk with you about becoming a member and what
membership here means. God is present in the world, and we are constantly in the
process of discovering the reality of God in our daily lives. Mount Pleasant is an open
church that welcomes the use of both mind and heart to learn how God is using us to
make a difference in the world.

New member informational classes are held on a regular basis and are typically
completed in a one-time, two-hour session, and an orientation meeting. During the class,
you’ll learn about life at Mount Pleasant Lutheran, our theology, history, programs and
core values. The membership classes are casual, interesting. We warmly welcome all
people from any previous faith background who are committed to living a Christ-centered
life. These classes are a courtesy to you, to help make you feel at home in this faith
family and so everyone is encouraged to be part of them.

As a congregation, our goal is not simply to grow wider (through increased membership),
but to also grow deeper – by engaging new and established members alike in activities,
programs and worship experiences that deepen our faith and strengthen our relationship
with God.
