Musical Opportunities at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church

Music is an important part of the worship experience at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church.  People of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in the music ministry of our congregation.  Here is a list of current music opportunities:

Senior Choir – Is an adult choir that leads congregational singing and offers special music.  The senior choir practices every Wednesday at 7-8:30 p.m. and leads Sunday worship and other special services.

Adult Bell Choir – Provides special handbell music during worship services one time per month and at special services throughout the year. The Adult Bell Choir practices on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and  is open to anyone who can read music

Youth Bell Choir – Is made up of young people in grades 5 – 12 who can read music.  Practices are held on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. prior to confirmation.

Messenger Choir – Is a fun musical opportunity for young people in grades 2-5. The Messengers practice on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., and share their music during worship services once a month and at other special services.

Cherub Choir – Is where our youngest members make a joyful noise and is open to children 3 years – 1st grade.  The Cherubs practice every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and sing once a month during the worship service and occasionally during other special services.

Vocal and Instrumental Soloists – Provide special music as a solo or ensemble during worship services.
